Deployment Overview

In the two-part video below, episodes 6 and 7 of this season’s Expedition Overland series, you’ll see firsthand exactly how your hard-earned dollars made the difference in the lives of others. After overlanding from Belize to Guatemala, and then on to El Salvador, Team 5 ran a two-day remote medical clinic where they saw over 100 medical and dental patients. They taught the local indigenous healthcare providers everything from midwifery to basic surgery and wilderness medicine, all while focusing on their main goal of educating these regions to become self-sufficient. Also, you’ll see  the powerful story of how Team 5 forever changed the life of a little 9-year-old Mayan girl.

We hope that you enjoy the videos as much as we did. If they strike a chord within you, please consider supporting Team 5 and their future missions. They are the only SOFMED foundation of their kind and they truly are making a difference in the world. However, it can’t be done with the incredible support of people like yourself and the many great companies and organizations who donate time, resources, and dollars to their cause.
