Dr. Ted Sibley

MD/Surgeon, Medical Director

I am originally from Minneapolis, MN where I completed my undergraduate (2004) and medical degrees (2009) at the University of Minnesota. After medical school I moved south to Kansas City, Missouri and trained in Emergency Medicine at Truman Medical Center Level 1 Trauma (2012). Since that time I have stayed as a faculty member at Truman Medical Centers and have recently become the Emergency Medical Services Liaison and Residency Education Coordinator. I am a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and also an instructor for the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Classes.

This will be my 9th international medical trip, but the first to the Dominican Republic. Some of the other countries that I have traveled to for medical work include: Mexico, Belize, Ecuador, Honduras, Peru, Colombia (Amazon Region) x2, and Uganda. My wife and I have also had the opportunity to internationally adopt our three sons ages 5, 3, and 2 from Colombia and Ethiopia.
