Medical Director

Chris is an Intensive Care Doctor from the UK, currently working in Sydney, Australia. He has a subspecialty interest in point-of-care ultrasound and has authored the textbook 'Ultrasound for the Generalist - A Guide to Point-of-Care Imaging' with Cambridge University Press. He is currently undertaking research in advanced critical care echocardiography and is heavily involved in teaching and mentoring practitioners in the use of POCUS in non-specialist settings. He holds a diploma in Extreme Medicine from the University of Exeter Medical School, UK. Recently appointed as a lecturer at UNLV School of Medicine, Nevada in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine.

He has been volunteering with Team-5 since 2021 and acted as medical director for the missions to Nepal, Guatemala, Colombia, and the upcoming mission to Peru.
